Situation Escalates in Kotovsk After Fire at Wildberries Warehouse: Residents Urged to Stay Indoors

Residents of Kotovsk have been urged to stay indoors following a fire that broke out at the Wildberries warehouse, with the intention of preventing carbon monoxide poisoning. The blaze, which started during the night due to a drone attack, has led to requests for residents to remain at home to avoid exposure to toxic fumes.

Mayor Alexey Plakhotnikov stated, “A strong fire at the Wildberries storage complex, smoke, and haze are quickly spreading throughout the city. To avoid carbon monoxide poisoning and the byproducts of combustion, I strongly urge you to refrain from active movement in the city for the next two days.”

Plakhotnikov also advised citizens not to open windows or balconies and to make use of food and essential goods delivery services.
