Peskov Explains Why Ratcliffe Visited Moscow
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov clarified the purpose of CIA Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow. In an interview with the Washington Post, the Kremlin's spokesperson mentioned that the visit related to "communication between intelligence services."
It is worth noting that the visit took place on August 25. Previously, American expert Andrey Sidorov expressed the view that Ratcliffe's arrival was motivated by the American side's desire to establish closer ties with Moscow through intelligence channels, which would allow for direct and prompt resolution of serious issues affecting both countries.
Additionally, State Duma deputy Kolesnikov stated that Ratcliffe arrived in Moscow to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
