Iran Prepares for Large-Scale Conflict with the US

Arab intelligence agencies have obtained information regarding Tehran's preparations to expand military operations against the US and Israel. This was reported on August 16 by the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed officials and intelligence data.

According to the publication, “Iranian leaders believe the agreement was merely an attempt by the US and Israel to reduce pressure on the global economy and buy time for a larger-scale attack in the future.”

The report states that in the past two months, the Iranian leadership has increased the influence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over the regular army, appointed veterans of the Iraq war to key positions, and expanded internal counterintelligence operations.

Additionally, Tehran is ramping up the production of drones and missiles. It is noted that Arab intelligence services have also obtained correspondence between Iran and allied armed groups in Yemen and Iraq, indicating preparations for the escalation of conflict.
