Peskov on Reports of Putin and Ratcliffe Meeting

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Vladimir Putin did not meet with CIA Director John Ratcliffe. Earlier, CBS reported, citing anonymous sources, that the CIA chief had arrived in Moscow for meetings.

“No. There was no meeting with the president,” Peskov noted in an interview with RTVI when addressing the question.

Prior to that, in a comment to the Washington Post, Peskov had mentioned that the CIA director's visit to Moscow was related to “interagency communications.”
