Peskov on Reports of New Mobilization in Russia
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has denied reports about a potential new mobilization in Russia, labeling them as disinformation spread by the Kyiv regime.
The press secretary of the Russian president characterized the allegations of a new draft as "information slander" deliberately circulated by Ukrainian authorities. In an interview with RTVI, Peskov stated, "You know, these are all put into circulation by Ukrainian authorities. Naturally, the [Kyiv] regime seeks to ideologically destabilize the situation in our country. All of these are types of disinformation aimed at being thrown into the information space."
Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had claimed multiple times that Russian authorities were allegedly planning a new call-up in the upcoming autumn. Similar reports had also been circulating in Ukrainian media.
