Weather to Change Dramatically: Temperature to Decrease by 5–7 Degrees

In certain regions of the Republic of Armenia, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evening hours today, and from August 27 to 30, both at night and in the afternoon. This information is provided by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

According to the report, the wind will be blowing from the southeast and east at a speed of 4-7 m/s, with wind gusts expected to reach 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms. The air temperature is gradually expected to decrease by 5-7 degrees during the daytime from August 26 to 30.

Until August 27, a high fire hazard situation is anticipated in Yerevan, the Ararat plain, and the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor. On August 26, Yerevan is expected to remain dry. Meanwhile, from the evening of August 27-28 and at night and in the afternoon on August 29-30, short-term rain and thunderstorms are forecast for certain parts of the city. Wind gusts of 17-20 m/s are expected during thunderstorms and in the evening hours.
