Double world champion Janes Nazaryan, summarizing the competition, noted that the tension was not due to the venue, but rather a great sense of responsibility.

According to him, they worked well with the coaches, and certain mistakes did not affect the final result. Nazaryan particularly highlighted the final match, as it did not go according to the previously developed plan.

“At first, I made mistakes and lost points, but thanks to the calmness and guidance of my coaches, I was able to regain the victory,” he said.

The athlete emphasized that becoming a champion for the second time was more difficult because this time all the competitors had specifically prepared to defeat him. “If last year a few people were working on strategies against me, this year, everyone was. That’s why we developed several strategies with the coaches to secure the victory,” Nazaryan noted.

Commenting on the boos that followed his victory, he stated that he was not concerned about them. “At that moment, it was more important for me to enjoy the victory. The ceremony with the flag was a moment of pride and excitement; I am happy that I was able to achieve that,” Janes Nazaryan concluded.
