If Garegin B accepts the Church reform agenda, I formally announce from this podium that I will sit down and discuss that agenda with him with great respect.

“I have never said that there are our people and not our people, some of whom may observe the rules of decency while others may not. The agenda for the reform of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is clearly formulated, with specific mechanisms for maintaining the rules of decency.

Moreover, I have said at a working level that yes, the state can provide a certain way out for all such spiritual leaders, but this is about preserving our national values, which have been deformed precisely because of that fact. How can we tolerate that our Holiness is tainted? There are facts that every believer and citizen of the Republic of Armenia is aware of,” Pashinyan stated.
