The Deceased Was Not on Duty at the Time, Death Unrelated to Service: Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense has responded to circulating reports regarding the death of a contracted serviceman, emphasizing that the incident did not occur within the military and is unrelated to military service.

“In response to the circulating information, we inform you that the incident occurred at the place of residence of the deceased, specifically at a livestock farm. The deceased was not on duty at the time; the incident is unrelated to military service and cannot be classified as an incident occurring within the military,” stated the Ministry of Defense.

The agency also urged to refrain from targeting the military, noting that such publications negatively affect the morale and psychological condition of the troops and create unnecessary tension among servicemen and their families.

It is worth recalling that earlier, ArmLur.am reported that a relative found a contracted serviceman from military unit N hanging. According to the site’s information, the serviceman was serving under the “Defender of the Motherland” program and was scheduled to report to the military unit today for duty.
