NATO Representative Appreciates Armenia's Peacekeeping Mission
On August 25, the Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, Sargis Khandanian, met with Alexander Vinnikov, the head of NATO's Liaison Office in Georgia.
Welcoming the guest, Sargis Khandanian emphasized the significance of the close Armenia-NATO relations and spoke about the substantial potential for expanding cooperation.
At the request of the guest, the commission chairman presented the current security situation in the region, discussing the recent developments in the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
Alexander Vinnikov congratulated Sargis Khandanian on his election as the chairman of the commission in the newly elected parliament. The head of NATO's Liaison Office in Georgia mentioned the deepening of NATO-Armenia cooperation, highly appreciating Armenia's participation in the peacekeeping mission conducted under the Kosovo forces.
