Becoming a Champion Was My Main Goal: Janes Nazaryan

The Armenian national wrestling team for U-17 Greco-Roman style has returned to the homeland. Janes Nazaryan, who won a gold medal in Baku, commented on his victory.

"My goal was, of course, to become a champion, and I worked hard for it. I believe everything went according to our plan. There were some mistakes that could have hindered that path, but in the end, I managed to reach my goal honorably," said Janes Nazaryan.

According to him, the impressions received are very good, and he is happy to have been able to bring joy to the Armenian people and raise the flag of Armenia high.

"There wasn’t 100 percent confidence in victory, but my coach's calmness was reassuring to me. He continually encouraged me, and remembering the work I had done, I didn’t doubt my strength," the champion noted.
