Tornado Causes Destruction in Southern France, Injuring 40 People
A tornado in the southern region of France, specifically in the Department of Ardèche, has caused significant damage to numerous homes. The natural disaster struck the commune of Pommiers, impacting approximately 300 houses. Reports indicate that 40 individuals have been injured, with two in serious condition.
Additionally, nearly 2,000 households are currently without electricity, and several roads have been closed to traffic. Meanwhile, on the island of Corsica, a fire broke out in the Ajaccio area due to a lightning strike, leading to the evacuation of around 200 people.
