Samvel Karapetyan is not Catholic, he is a child of the Armenian Church: Mother See

Samvel Karapetyan is a child of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church. This was stated by Father Esayi Khachanov, the director of the Mother See’s information department, in a conversation with 24News, responding to comments made by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Vahagn Aleksanyan in a press briefing today, claiming that according to sources within the ruling party, Samvel Karapetyan is Catholic.

“Samvel Karapetyan is a child of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, and all family ceremonies have been conducted according to the rites of the Armenian Church. It is well known that Samvel Karapetyan is one of the prominent benefactors of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin,” Father Esayi specifically emphasized.
