After the Loss, He Needs an Easy Opponent: Tsarukyan on Topuria
The second-ranked lightweight in the UFC, Armenia's Arman Tsarukyan, has spoken about former champion Ilia Topuria in the featherweight and lightweight divisions.
"He is still recovering, and probably the next fight will be against Michael Chandler, after which he will return to title contention. Who else could it be? After that loss, he needs a relatively easy opponent, and then he can fight for the championship belt again," Tsarukyan was quoted by MMAJunkie.
It is worth noting that in his last fight, Topuria shared the octagon with American Justin Gaethje for the UFC lightweight championship title. Their bout took place on June 15 in Washington during the UFC White House — Freedom 250 event, ending with Justin's victory via technical knockout.
