Azerbaijan Confirms Participation in the Weightlifting European Championship in Yerevan: Giloyan
The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Karen Giloyan, announced during a press briefing with journalists that Azerbaijan has confirmed its participation in the Weightlifting European Championship to be held in Yerevan.
"Azerbaijan has definitively confirmed its participation, with five athletes set to compete, but this is not the final number yet," Giloyan noted. "In the last three days of March, the countries that have registered for participation must make monetary transfers to the European Federation. If they complete the registration and transfer the funds, it will constitute a final entry, and the Azerbaijani team will participate in this championship."
The Weightlifting European Championship will take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan from April 15-23. As a reminder, the countdown to the start of the Weightlifting European Championship has begun; there are 30 days left. Azerbaijani media have also reported that Azerbaijani athletes wish to come to Armenia.
