Motion to Arrest Robert Kocharyan Submitted to Court
The motion to arrest the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court. Robert Kocharyan was also brought to court from the hospital. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Kocharyan is accused of laundering particularly large amounts of money, abuse of official powers, and receiving particularly large bribes.
Recall that on August 25, Robert Kocharyan and his son, Sedrak Kocharyan, were taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee. In total, six individuals had been detained as part of the criminal proceedings.
Later on, Robert Kocharyan's health deteriorated. He was recorded with high blood pressure, after which he was transferred to the hospital by ambulance. The Anti-Corruption Committee announced that after necessary medical examinations, Kocharyan would be presented to the court.
