The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz can only be resumed if the United States accepts its demands.

“The Strait of Hormuz is under our control. There are no military vessels of the adversary in the Persian Gulf. All enemy military ships have retreated at least 400 kilometers away from the strait. About a month ago, we entered into negotiations with Oman and reached an agreement regarding the shares and revenues of each country in the waters of the strait.

If America sets aside its obstacles and returns to the understanding memorandum, we will be able to resume navigation through the strait within the framework of these agreements. Our conditions must be accepted. If America does not accept our conditions, the Strait of Hormuz will absolutely not be opened,” the statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reads.
