Doctors Prevented Robert Kocharyan from Attending Court, Repeated Arrest Motion Submitted: Levon Kocharyan
Doctors have prevented Robert Kocharyan from being brought to court, and a repeated motion for his arrest has been submitted. This was stated by his son, MP Levon Kocharyan, during a conversation with journalists in parliament.
Levon Kocharyan clarified that at 08:00 today, the deadline for his father's detention expired, after which investigators submitted another request to arrest him within 24 hours. Kocharyan believes that the authorities are determined to bring the former president to court at all costs.
The MP assumes that the Prime Minister has given specific instructions to law enforcement and judicial authorities from the parliamentary podium several days ago.
It is worth recalling that the Anti-Corruption Court has decided to detain Robert Kocharyan's son, Sedrak Kocharyan, for two months.
Additionally, Robert Kocharyan and his elder son Sedrak were taken in for questioning by the Anti-Corruption Committee. Law enforcement conducted searches of several properties owned by the Kocharyans and sealed business premises. Searches were also carried out at MP Levon Kocharyan's home.
