«Why Are You a Millionaire?»: Levon Khachaturyan Responds to This Question

During a briefing with journalists, Levon Khachaturyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘Hayastan’ faction, addressed his wealth and businesses. One of the journalists quoted Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's question: ‘Why are you a millionaire?’ directed at Levon Khachaturyan.

‘From a young age, we have been involved in business. I wasn't a millionaire at the age of 21. I don’t know from what age I became a millionaire. Everything I own is declared,’ Khachaturyan responded.

Regarding the question of possible illegal acquisition of businesses, the MP insisted that they do not own any illegal property or businesses. ‘We have nothing illegal. Everything is in court and under arrest. The business is operational, but it is under arrest; we do not profit from them,’ Levon Khachaturyan stated.
