A Modern Greenhouse Complex Has Opened in Ararat Province

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, participated in the official opening of the "Agro Prom" modern greenhouse complex for tomatoes in the Aragatsotn province. This was reported by the ministry.

"About 9.7 billion drams have been invested within the framework of the project. The greenhouse economy is built and equipped with modern technologies. Artificial intelligence-based management systems and robotic solutions are utilized in production processes, allowing for the control and efficient management of crop growth processes. No chemical agents are used in production. The greenhouse farm has GLOBALG.A.P. certification. Dutch seeds with high resistance to viruses are used for tomato production.

The company has benefited from a support program for the development of greenhouse enterprises in the Republic of Armenia. Currently, the company is also carrying out the construction of a new 10-hectare pepper greenhouse, with an investment of about 9 billion drams planned for this project. In future phases, plans are in place to establish blueberry and vineyard plantations in adjacent areas.

The minister emphasized the importance of creating such enterprises, highlighting their significance in economic development, attracting new investments, and creating new jobs," the statement said.
