What Stage is TRIPP In? Clarification from the Government

In Armenia, there is still no detailed information regarding the current parameters of the implementation of the "Trump Route" (TRIPP) project, including the route, cost, and technical specifications of the railway infrastructure. This becomes clear from a response sent by the office of the Prime Minister to a query from Sputnik Armenia.

At the same time, it is assured that work is being conducted in this direction. We inquired about what stage the construction process of TRIPP is currently at, what phases have already been completed, and what tasks are planned for the near future.

We asked whether the exact coordinates of the route and the scheme for the transport infrastructure have been confirmed, what the initial cost of the entire project implementation is, whether a contractor has been selected, and whether the preparation of the technical and economic justification (TEJ) has been completed. We also inquired if the creation of separate storage and logistics infrastructures is planned for the areas adjacent to the route.

The response was received from the office of Vice Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. "In response to your inquiry, we inform you that joint studies, calculations, and research on the implementation of TRIPP are currently underway in collaboration with the American side, including concerning the railway," the response states.

The office emphasized that it will be possible to answer the raised questions after the study is finalized.
