Yurik Mkrtchyan Wins Bronze Medal at World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships

Yurik Mkrtchyan (67 kg) triumphed over his Iranian opponent, securing a bronze medal at the U20 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships. This marks Armenia's third medal at the tournament taking place in Bratislava.

Earlier, Samvel Terteryan (77 kg) became the U20 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion after defeating Azerbaijani wrestler Javidan Nematov in the finals. These wrestlers also faced each other in the finals of this year's European Championships, where Samvel also emerged victorious with a score of 4-0.

Samvel's brother, Gaspar Terteryan, claimed the U20 World Championship title last year, while this year Samvel repeated that achievement.

In the 87 kg category, Yurik Petrosyan secured a silver medal at the U20 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships, losing in the finals to Japanese wrestler Taizo Yoshida with a score of 0-8.
