Investigator Allows Arəgnaz Manukyan to Meet with Her Daughter, According to Lawyer

Following the recent uproar, it was only today, on the child's birthday, that an investigator granted permission for Arəgnaz Manukyan to meet her daughter. This was reported by lawyer Tatevik Sogoyan on her Facebook page.

"The meeting has not yet taken place, and Ms. Manukyan is not aware of it," she wrote.

Recall that the pre-trial investigation into the case of the opposition member of the 'Mother Armenia' party and former MP Arəgnaz Manukyan has concluded. Manukyan was arrested on July 9 and subsequently detained on charges of disclosing information containing state secrets. The 46-year-old denies the charges.

The first-instance judge, Manvel Shahverdyan, who made the decision on the detention, had also prohibited Manukyan from having contact, even with her mother and minor daughter.
