Video: How an 18-Year-Old Girl was Abducted, Arrest Made
On August 16, a resident of the village of Verin Dvin in the Artashat region called the Ministry of Internal Affairs' 112 operational management center to report that her daughter had been abducted.
As a result of operational-investigative measures taken by the criminal police of the Ararat region, the identities of those responsible for the act were established. It was found that on August 16, around 10 AM, four young men from Verin Dvin threw a 39-year-old woman to the ground and abducted her 18-year-old daughter.
A criminal case has been initiated. Following further measures and explanatory work, a 30-year-old man presented himself to the preliminary investigation body, was arrested, and taken to a detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
