Anna Grigoryan and Narek Karapetyan Reject Anna Hakobyan's Proposal

The head of the "Strong Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, Narek Karapetyan, and the head of the "Armenia" faction, Anna Grigoryan, have rejected a proposal for a meeting from Anna Hakobyan, the Prime Minister's wife. They made this statement today, August 19, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.

It was previously reported that Anna Hakobyan had invited the leaders of the two opposition factions to a meeting. She specifically noted, "I invite opposition female MPs to join the process of amending the Criminal Code and recognizing domestic violence as a separate crime. This was announced by the Prime Minister's wife, Anna Hakobyan."

"Naturally, my proposal should be discussed with the leaders of the two opposition factions. Thus, I am inviting the head of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, Narek Karapetyan, and the head of the 'Armenia' faction, Anna Grigoryan, to a meeting," she said.
