City Hall Reports That Yesterday's Rain Exceeded Monthly Precipitation Norm by 2 Times
Following the rain that fell on the evening of August 30, some areas of the capital have reported accumulations of rainwater, according to the Yerevan City Hall.
According to the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" State Non-Commercial Organization, the precipitation levels were unprecedented, reaching 17-18 mm. This amount has exceeded the monthly precipitation norm by two times.
Employees from the Yerevan sanitation organization, the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ rescue service, and the "Veolia Water" company are conducting operations to remove the accumulations caused by the rain, as stated in the announcement.
