Armenia is a Longtime Partner of the US: Matthew Miller on Armenian-American Exercises
Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the US Secretary of State, has commented on the Armenian-American military exercises, emphasizing that these activities fall within the framework of state partnership and are not related to any other operations.
“We regularly train and operate alongside our partners to maintain combat readiness, and we continuously enhance the interoperability between our armed forces. Armenia has been a longtime partner of the United States and has maintained strong relations with the Kansas National Guard since 2003 under the Defense Department’s state partnership program. So, no, this is a routine exercise that is in no way connected to any other activities,” he noted.
Addressing Russia's reaction, Miller stated, “I think, given that Russia has invaded two of its neighbors in recent years, it should refrain from lecturing countries in the region about security measures.”
