Charles Michel and Erdogan Discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations in Private Meeting
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, discussed the Black Sea grain initiative and regional situations, particularly Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the G20 summit.
Michel shared the details on his X account, stating, “During the meeting with Turkish President Erdogan within the G20 framework, we discussed the entire package of EU-Turkey relations, the Black Sea Grain Initiative, and regional situations, particularly Armenia-Azerbaijan.”
Previously, the Turkish President had indicated that he considers Armenia's actions in Nagorno-Karabakh to be erroneous, and he plans to have a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 11 regarding this matter.
