Wrestler Knyaz Ibeyan Defeats Azerbaijani Opponent and Advances to Quarterfinals

The representative of Armenia, Knyaz Ibeyan (92 kg), won against his Azerbaijani opponent with a score of 3:2, advancing to the quarterfinals. This information was reported by the Armenian Wrestling Federation on their Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that the World Youth Wrestling Championship is being held in Jordan from August 14 to 20.

In the quarterfinals, Ibeyan also defeated a Turkish competitor with a score of 6:3, moving on to the semifinals. Additionally, Mushegh Mkrtchyan achieved a confident victory in the Round of 16 and advanced to the quarterfinals. In the 61 kg weight category, Levik Mikayelyan won against his Uzbek opponent and advanced to the quarterfinals, where he lost to an Iranian competitor.
