Bodies of Victims Found at Plane Crash Site in Nepal
At least 14 bodies have been discovered at the site of the Tara Air plane crash in Nepal, according to the Kathmandu Post. The plane collided with a hill and scattered debris over a 100-meter radius. Search operations for the victims' bodies are ongoing.
The wreckage of the aircraft was found in the Mustang region in northwestern Nepal, nearly 20 hours after it went missing. There were three crew members and 19 passengers on board the aircraft, which took off from Pokhara Airport bound for Jomsom on the morning of May 29. Contact with the plane was lost just minutes after departure.
As reported by The Himalayan Times, the area had experienced rain over the past few days; however, flights were operating normally.
