Intense Reaction in the National Assembly to ‘Who Has Given What to Artsakh’ Statement: QP MP Gets Emotional

The MP from the Civil Contract party, Taguhi Ghazaryan, reacted in the National Assembly to Aram Vardevanyan's statement and expressed disagreement over measuring contributions to Artsakh in monetary terms. Ghazaryan addressed Vardevanyan, questioning who has given more to Artsakh than Samvel Karapetyan.

She stated that she was shocked by that remark and hoped it was the result of poor phrasing since there are individuals who have given their family members, blood, and health for the cause.

Ghazaryan emphasized that her family does not have money to contribute to Artsakh; she lives off her salary, yet her father volunteered and was in the war zone until the last moment, while her brother fought for 44 days.

She added that her relatives returned, although she had no contact with her father for 10 days and searched for him in the morgues. The MP stressed that she cannot imagine the hurt of those whose relatives did not return and disagreed with the notion that contributions to Artsakh should be measured in money or turbo generators. She expressed hope that the speaker did not intend to convey such a message since people from the social group, which includes her own relatives, are listening to her.
