Georgy Papoyan Discusses Progress of €120 Million TRIPP Project with World Bank Representatives

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Georgy Papoyan, met with representatives of the World Bank and the Territorial Development Foundation of Armenia on August 7. The President of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy, Lusine Gevorgyan, was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the progress of the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement (TRIPP) project was discussed, along with issues related to enhancing the implementation mechanisms, streamlining processes, and accelerating progress.

Emphasizing the project's role in the development of tourism and the modernization of regional infrastructure, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue close cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of the planned activities.

The TRIPP project aims to invest €120 million for the development of tourism clusters in Goris, Areni, Jermuk, Yeghegis, Dvin, Gyumri, and Dilijan. The project aims to promote the development of wine, resort, adventure, cultural, educational, and eco-tourism.
