Diners at 'Bamboo' Fall Ill Hours After Eating; Food Safety Authority Launches Investigation
On August 6, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) reported to the Food Safety Inspection Body that three individuals were admitted to the Mikayelian Institute of Surgery with a preliminary diagnosis of 'acute intestinal infection'. It has been confirmed that the patients had dined at the 'Bamboo' bar-restaurant located at 2/2 Freedom Avenue in Yerevan on the same day, consuming chicken and duck meat, fried cheese, French fries, seafood, avocado, cheese, bruschetta, and Caesar salad.
In response to the received information, the inspection body immediately initiated a monitoring process at the 'Bamboo' bar-restaurant. Samples of the available food products will be sent for laboratory testing.
