Kyrgyzstan Seeks to Enhance Cooperation with Armenia
According to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan, the parties discussed current issues regarding the development of bilateral relations, the expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as exchanged opinions on regional and international agenda items of mutual interest.
Japarov congratulated Pashinyan on assuming the office of Prime Minister, wishing him success in his further work for the well-being of the Armenian people.
The Kyrgyz leader emphasized that his country attaches great importance to the further deepening of Kyrgyz-Armenian ties, which are based on traditional friendship, mutual respect, and shared values. He expressed confidence that the negotiations would give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation and allow for the establishment of new areas of collaboration.
During the conversation, special attention was given to the development of trade and economic cooperation. Japarov noted the need to enrich bilateral cooperation with more practical content, expand mutual trade volumes, develop production cooperation, and attract investments.
In turn, Pashinyan congratulated Japarov on Kyrgyzstan's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, expressing the belief that this would create additional opportunities for deepening cooperation on international platforms. He also addressed Kyrgyzstan's achievements in the socio-economic development field, emphasizing the impressive rates of economic growth and the implementation of investment projects.
According to the Armenian Prime Minister, these achievements create favorable preconditions for expanding mutual trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. He also highlighted that improving transport connectivity in the South Caucasus region would contribute to the further development of bilateral trade and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
Concluding the negotiations, the parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached would promote the further development of Kyrgyz-Armenian cooperation in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect.
