A 4-5 Magnitude Earthquake Occurred in Gegharkunik at Night
On May 29, at 22:09 local time (18:09 GMT), a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was registered by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations at geographic coordinates 40.48° north latitude and 45.29° east longitude, 3 km southeast of the village of Shorja at a depth of 10 km. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the same source, the intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was between 4 and 5 points. The earthquake was felt in the Gegharkunik region at an intensity of 4 points, and in the Kotayk and Tavush regions at 3-4 points.
