53.7 Million AMD of Property Seized in Corruption Cases
During the first half of 2026, a total of 307 criminal cases related to corruption were examined (compared to 508 in 2025), of which 193 were transferred from 2025 and 114 were accepted in 2026. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee.
Out of the 307 criminal cases, 21 were sent to court with an indictment against 47 individuals (29 cases against 72 individuals in 2025), while 14 were closed (71 in 2025), including 8 cases that were rehabilitative (41 in 2025) and 6 that were non-rehabilitative (30 in 2025). Additionally, 67 criminal cases (121 in 2025) were forwarded to other bodies, 25 were combined (29 in 2025), 16 were recorded as procedural and evidential actions performed (30 in 2025), and 164 were postponed to the second half of 2026 (228 in 2025).
The property damage caused by completed criminal proceedings regarding corruption amounted to 247 million 36 thousand AMD, of which 19 million 940 thousand AMD was recovered during the pre-trial process, and a seizure was imposed on property worth 53 million 740 thousand AMD.
