Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Attempt to Steal Irrigation Pipes from the Armenian Genocide Memorial Garden
Materials are being prepared in the investigation department of the Malatia Police Division regarding an extraordinary incident that occurred on May 22 in Yerevan.
On that day, officers from the Malatia Division of the Police's Main Department for State Protection noticed two individuals cutting and transporting the irrigation pipes in the garden adjacent to the Armenian Genocide Memorial around 23:40.
According to Shamshyan.com, upon noticing the police, one of the individuals fled the scene, while the other was apprehended and taken to the Malatia Police Division.
According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the detained individual is a 26-year-old resident of Armavir Province, Davit K., while the identity of the fleeing individual has been established as 36-year-old Pavel A., also a resident of Armavir Province.
The Malatia police are taking necessary measures to locate him, while the detained Davit K. has been released. More details are available on the site.
