Over 211 Million Dram in Damages Recovered for the State and Community in Yerevan
In the first half of 2026, the Office of the Prosecutor in the Center and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan reported the recovery of 147 million 686 thousand drams in damages caused to the state, community, and organizations with state and community participation through criminal proceedings and prosecutorial interventions.
During this period, 33 criminal cases related to serious crimes were submitted to the court with prosecutorial conclusions, and 10 cases related to especially serious crimes. In total, 5 convictions for serious crimes and 2 convictions for especially serious crimes entered into legal force.
Similarly, in the Malatya-Sebastia administrative district, 47 million 704 thousand drams were recovered in damages. Here, 38 criminal cases related to serious crimes and 5 to especially serious crimes were sent to court, leading to 6 convictions for serious crimes and 2 for especially serious crimes entering into legal force.
Meanwhile, in the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts, damages amounting to 15 million 806 thousand drams were recovered. Prosecutors submitted 15 cases related to serious crimes and 4 to especially serious crimes, resulting in 15 and 1 convictions, respectively.
In the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts, the Office of the Prosecutor reported recovery of 700 thousand drams, with 20 serious crime cases and 7 especially serious cases presented to the court, accomplishing 12 convictions for serious crimes and 2 for especially serious crimes.
In the Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun districts, 17 serious crime cases and 4 especially serious crime cases were submitted to the court, resulting in 6 and 2 convictions, respectively.
Finally, in the Erebuni and Nubarashen districts, the prosecution presented 35 serious crimes and 14 especially serious crimes to the court, achieving 8 and 7 convictions accordingly. In total, from various districts of Yerevan, over 211 million drams have been recovered for the damages caused to the state and community.
