Iranian companies have embarked on the construction of the Kajaran tunnel in Armenia. This was reported by the Iranian embassy in Armenia.
“The 7.2 km long tunnel is the most complex engineering project being implemented in the Caucasus region and is part of the North-South corridor. After the completion of construction, Iran will have a shorter access to the Black Sea region (Europe),” the embassy's statement said.
