Ukraine's Membership in the European Union is Dangerous, Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has deemed Ukraine's intention to join the European Union as dangerous. He made this statement after a meeting of the foreign ministers of the CIS member states in Dushanbe.
"It should be noted that the European Union has transformed from a constructive and economic platform into a militant player. The European Union is following in NATO's footsteps," he said.
According to Lavrov, despite the public statements of Ukraine's leadership, Kyiv expresses a willingness to accept the country's non-aligned and neutral status in its communications with Moscow, provided that appropriate guarantees are received.
