Mkhitaryan Discusses Reasons for Leaving Arsenal Again

Heinrich Mkhitaryan, midfielder for Italian club Roma and the Armenian national team, has once again spoken about his departure from London’s Arsenal.

“Emery allocated more time to tactics than Wenger did. My role in the team changed. I had to play as a winger and build the game with the holding midfielder. That’s why I scored fewer goals and provided fewer assists. Emery assured me that I was an important player for Arsenal, but I moved to Roma because I felt there was more belief in me here,” Mkhitaryan said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
