Temperature in Armenia to Decrease by 7-9 Degrees

A cyclone is approaching us from the Black Sea. For the last three days, Armenia has been under the influence of warm tropical air currents penetrating from the regions of Iraq, which have been particularly active in the Ararat Plain, its foothills, and in Yerevan. This is reported by the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.

Starting from the evening of August 27, these warm air currents will retreat, giving way to a cyclone that will linger in our region until August 31 inclusive. Thus, on the evening of August 27 and during the nights and afternoons of August 28-31, short bursts of rain of a thunderstorm nature are expected across most regions, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall and hail. During thunderstorms, wind intensification is expected at 20-25 m/s.

The air temperature will gradually decrease by 7-9 degrees during daytime hours across the republic from August 27-30, compared to August 26.
