The US and Iran Agree on Ceasefire Implementation
The US and Iran have agreed on the implementation of a ceasefire. This was announced in Pakistan, noting that Islamabad is mediating communications between Washington and Tehran.
At the same time, it is noted that there has not been an exchange of strikes between the parties in the region for a long time, and the confrontation is now primarily economic in nature. According to NBC's estimates, Iran has caused billions of dollars in damage to American intelligence assets. Meanwhile, the US has tightened financial sanctions against Iran.
Against this backdrop, there are also reports about negotiations involving Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which are set for a duration of 60 days. According to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, only commercial vessels will be allowed to pass through this maritime route.
