Opposition MP Harutyun Harutyunyan to Head National Assembly European Integration Committee
On August 26, the National Assembly elected Harutyun Harutyunyan, a member of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, as the chairman of the Permanent Committee on European Integration.
In a closed vote, Harutyunyan received 56 votes in favor and 48 against. It is worth noting that on August 20, the three candidates proposed by the 'Strong Armenia' faction were not elected for the chairmanships of the committees, after which the faction put forward new candidates.
Earlier, Liana Manukyan from the 'Strong Armenia' party was elected as the chair of the Permanent Committee on Financial and Budgetary Issues.
