GAZ-53 Hits Soldiers in Ghamarak: One Dead
On August 19, around 21:00, a GAZ-53 vehicle struck several soldiers on the road leading to the city of Ghamarak under yet unspecified circumstances. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
As a result of the incident, soldier Suren Mamabrey Vardanyan has died. Other soldiers have been transferred to a military hospital. The Ministry of Defense reports that their lives are not in danger, and they are under the care of medical personnel.
The families of the soldiers have been informed about the incident. An investigation is underway to clarify all circumstances of the case.
