Zakharova: Moscow Ready to Hear New US Initiatives on Ukraine
Moscow is prepared to hear new initiatives from Washington regarding the resolution of the Ukraine issue; however, there are currently no arrangements for a new meeting with American representatives. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with Izvestia.
According to her, Moscow is monitoring Washington's stance on the Ukrainian settlement, but has not yet received any specific proposals for new meetings with American negotiators.
Zakharova noted that media outlets have periodically reported on the possible visit to Moscow by U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Biegun and Jared Kushner. She stated that the Russian side is ready to organize such a meeting in a short time frame, but no official inquiry has been received yet.
