Russian Army Takes Control of Vodianskoye in DPR, Says Russia's Defense Ministry
The Russian army has taken control of the Vodianskoye settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry during a daily briefing.
According to the department, the settlement has been occupied by the units of the Russian troops' "Center" group. The Russian Defense Ministry also claims that Russian forces have struck the personnel and equipment of five brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, two marine brigades, and four National Guard brigades around the settlements of Belozerskoye, Dobropolie, Gruzskoye, Yurevka, Rayskoye, Annovka, Novofedorovka, Matyashevo, and Mariyevka in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Russian Defense Ministry asserts that within one day, up to 380 Ukrainian soldiers, six armored vehicles, seven vehicles, one artillery system, and two electronic warfare stations have been lost in the area of responsibility of the "Center" group.
Earlier, Igor Korotchenko, editor of the National Defense magazine, stated that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to 280,000 people during the first seven months of 2026. According to him, the largest losses have been recorded in the responsibility zones of the "Center" and "East" groupings.
