Trump Declares Economic War Against Iran, Threatens Supportive Countries

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the initiation of an economic pressure campaign against Iran of "unprecedented scale." On Truth Social, he stated that he had given Iran numerous opportunities to reach an agreement, but Tehran did not take advantage of them.

"Today, I am announcing the most crushing economic action ever taken against any country. This will be an economic war and isolation of unprecedented scale," Trump proclaimed.

The U.S. President also warned countries that continue to support Iran in any way. According to him, countries that provide financial, trade, or other support to Iran will face "tremendous economic consequences."

"Oil smuggling, secret financial transactions, cash transfers, fake companies must stop right now," he emphasized.

Trump has also called on U.S. allies to join in the isolation of Iran, insisting that the new measures should weaken Tehran's economic capabilities. He compared the scale of the impending economic pressure to the Allied landings in Normandy during World War II, dubbing it the "economic Normandy landings."
