Putin Orders Action Against Officials Lacking Ambition

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed his administration to take measures against officials who ignore the "Personnel for the Future Economy" program or treat it formally. He made this statement during a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

The program has been designed for senior officials responsible for ensuring regions and sectors are staffed, as well as adapting to technological changes.

“Dear colleagues, this is not a toy, believe me. There is meaning in this. Those who have participated should clearly appreciate the usefulness of this work,” Putin stated.

He has tasked his administration with analyzing the participation of officials in the program. “You understand, if a person does not attend, they are not interested, which means they strive for nothing, they lack ambition,” the President of Russia clarified.

The "Personnel for the Future Economy" program was developed at Putin's instruction and is set to launch in the summer of 2026. The Russian government, the Ministry of Labor, SberUniversity, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and the organization "Russia – Land of Opportunities" are responsible for its implementation.
