The Architect of the 4th Republic is Turkey, the Constructor is Azerbaijan: Ishkhan Saghatelyan

Member of the "Armenia" faction, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, criticized the government's approaches to the "real Armenia" and the 4th Republic from the podium of the National Assembly.

"When you remove the 'Armenian interest' from the Republic of Armenia, it is no longer the Republic of Armenia," Saghatelyan stated.

According to him, the authorities are trying to present that the author of the new Constitution and the founding figure of the 4th Republic should be the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, whereas in reality, he claims, the project’s author is not the government.

"You are not the founders of the 4th Republic. The architect of the 4th Republic is Turkey, the constructor is Azerbaijan, and even some European states are engaged in design works. You are the PR specialists and sales managers of that project, packaging and selling it to our people," Saghatelyan declared.

He also noted that the foreign policy pursued by the authorities, in his assessment, could bring new security and economic challenges for Armenia.

"As a result of your policies, Armenia will be excluded from the CSTO, but will never become a member of NATO. It will be excluded from the EAEU but will never become a member of the EU," said the opposition MP.

Saghatelyan also attributed responsibility to the authorities for possible new challenges, stating that attempts to shift responsibility to previous governments, the Russians, or the people of Artsakh will not be accepted in the future.
